Senior Technology Architect / Technology Architect (Data Architect)

Location: London, UK

Work Mode: Hybrid (10 days Work From Office per month, subject to business requirements)

Contract Duration: 6 Months

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Technology Architect / Data Architect to design, build, and operate scalable data pipelines and modern data products. You will play a key role in enabling a cloud-native Data Mesh architecture by integrating legacy enterprise systems with AWS-based data platforms.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on large-scale enterprise data transformation initiatives involving Databricks, Kafka, AWS, and modern data engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable batch and streaming data pipelines.
  • Build data ingestion pipelines from legacy DB2 (Mainframe) and SQL Server systems into an AWS-based Data Lake.
  • Implement real-time data ingestion using Confluent Kafka and land data into Amazon S3.
  • Develop transformation and analytics pipelines in Databricks using Spark, PySpark, and SQL.
  • Implement the Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) to build scalable analytics solutions.
  • Design and deliver reusable, high-quality data products aligned with Data Mesh principles.
  • Ensure data quality, governance, security, and reliability across all data pipelines.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, domain teams, and platform teams to enable self-service analytics and data consumption.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
