Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Data Architect to join our team and partner with leading financial services clients. You will leverage your deep understanding of the financial services industry and data architecture expertise to design and implement innovative solutions that empower clients to leverage their data as an asset. In this role, you will collaborate with clients to assess their data needs, design data architectures, and develop roadmaps aligned to their business and data strategy. You'll be responsible for translating business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring the architecture is aligned to business goals while considering regulatory compliance.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Financial Services Industry and how a well-designed data architecture can help organisations meet their business objectives
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of data architecture principles, including designing scalable, efficient, and secure data systems
  • Expertise in designing and implementing data warehousing solutions, data lakes, and ETL processes, specifically for financial services data
  • Proficiency in data modelling, both logical and physical, familiarity with data normalization and denormalization techniques is essential
  • Strong understanding of cloud-based data solutions and experience with platforms like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Snowflake
  • Knowledge of advanced analytics tools, this includes creating dashboards, reports, and analytics that provide actionable insights
  • Knowledge of data governance, data quality management, and data security best practices, with an emphasis on adhering to regulatory standards specific to financial services

About the candidate:

  • Strong understanding of cloud-based data solutions and experience with platforms like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Snowflake
  • Proficiency in data modelling, both logical and physical, familiarity with data normalization and denormalization techniques is essential
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Financial Services Industry and how a well-designed data architecture can help organisations meet their business objectives
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and business leaders in the financial services industry. This includes aligning data architecture with organizational objectives and leveraging data for strategic decision-making
  • Experience with Data Quality Rules, DQ Dimensions and hands on experience of triaging and resolution processes
  • A proactive approach to staying updated with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in data architecture and Microsoft technologies, applying this knowledge to innovate and enhance data-driven strategies in financial services
