Role Requirements

The role requires strong expertise in designing data models for OLTP systems, along with a solid understanding of database architectural patterns and enterprise/domain data modeling. Candidates should be able to work closely with business and technology stakeholders to define scalable, resilient, and well-governed data solutions for complex financial systems.

Key Skills and Experience

Designing scalable, high-performance database solutions across:

  • Relational databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL
  • Distributed NoSQL platforms such as Cassandra and YugabyteDB

Strong experience with enterprise and domain data modeling, particularly for OLTP systems.

Understanding of distributed database architectures and associated design patterns.

Supporting enterprise-wide data strategy initiatives and contributing to architecture governance reviews.

Producing architecture documentation, presentations, and technical artifacts for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Collaborating with business stakeholders, architects, application teams, and engineering leads to define enterprise data models and integration patterns.

Familiarity with wide-column database technologies such as Cassandra and distributed databases such as YugabyteDB or Google Cloud Spanner would be an advantage.

Functional / Domain Experience

  • Experience working within:
    • Financial services
    • Capital markets
    • Investment banking
    • Trading platforms
    • Risk or regulatory environments
  • Strong understanding of financial data domains and transactional systems preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Experience working on large enterprise transformation programs.
  • Exposure to data governance and enterprise architecture frameworks.
  • Financial industry certifications or architecture certifications are a plus.
