Data Architects (x2) – Scotland - Ref 2858
Join a people-centred technology team that thrives on innovation, collaboration and delivering meaningful outcomes. We're looking for two talented and motivated Data Architects to join our growing team. These positions will play a key role in supporting a major regulatory programme while strengthening enterprise data architecture capability across our client’s organisation. You will be responsible for shaping and evolving data architecture, ensuring data solutions are scalable, integrated and aligned with long-term business objectives. Working across both strategic and delivery-focused initiatives, you'll provide architecture leadership, support digital transformation programmes and help drive improvements in data quality, governance and interoperability.
📍 Location: Glasgow, Perth or Aberdeen
🔁 Contract Type: Permanent preferred (Contract Considered)
What you’ll do
- Develop and evolve data domain architectures that support business activities, ensuring solutions are scalable and aligned with long-term strategic goals
- Design the structure and layout of data systems and platforms, assessing the impact of business change on existing architecture and supporting the prioritisation of improvements
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders across the business, translating business needs into clear data requirements and building strong, trusted relationships
- Ensure project data designs align with the overall data architecture, identifying and resolving issues early to support successful project delivery
- Work closely with application and integration teams to deliver reliable, well-documented integrations that meet agreed standards and best practices
- Improve how data is structured, managed and shared across the organisation, driving better quality, consistency and interoperability
- Provide architectural guidance and assurance across a portfolio of digital initiatives, helping to ensure robust and scalable data solutions are delivered effectively
What to bring
- Proven experience in Data Architecture and/or Data Modelling, with a track record of delivering scalable, well-structured data solutions
- Experience working within complex enterprise environments, with a strong understanding of data integration and data exchange at scale
- The ability to think strategically and link data architecture decisions to wider business outcomes
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and influence decision-making at all levels
- Experience analysing and interpreting strategic plans, identifying opportunities to improve data flows, integration capabilities and data quality
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively across business and technical teams
- Strong documentation and governance skills, ensuring solutions align to organisational standards and long-term objectives
