Data Architect – London
Location: London (Hybrid)
Salary: £100,000 - £110,000 + Bonus / Benefits
About Our Client
Our client is a large technology-led organisation investing heavily in modern data platforms, cloud infrastructure and enterprise analytics. They are looking for an experienced Data Architect to define the architecture and standards supporting a major data transformation programme.
The Role
You will own high-level data architecture across cloud platforms, analytics, integration and governance, working with engineering, security and business teams to create scalable and well-governed data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Define enterprise data architecture, principles and target-state designs.
- Design modern cloud data platforms, data models and integration patterns.
- Work with Data Engineers, Cloud Engineers and Solution Architects on implementation.
- Establish standards for data quality, governance, security and lineage.
- Evaluate technology choices and produce architecture decision records.
- Support migration from legacy data platforms into modern cloud environments.
- Engage senior technology and business stakeholders on data strategy.
- Provide architectural assurance across major transformation programmes.

Skills & Experience
- Significant experience in Data Architecture or senior data engineering roles.
- Strong knowledge of Azure, AWS or GCP data services.
- Experience with data lakes, warehouses, lakehouse architectures and ETL/ELT.
- Understanding of Databricks, Snowflake, Fabric or comparable platforms.
- Strong knowledge of data modelling, governance and security.
- Experience designing enterprise-scale data solutions.
- Excellent technical documentation and stakeholder communication skills.
