About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Product Owner to join our client’s dynamic team. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of the organization’s data capabilities. Unlike traditional roles that involve inheriting existing frameworks, this position offers the opportunity to influence and develop the data architecture from the ground up. You will be instrumental in defining the long-term architectural vision, bringing structure to complex data environments, and transforming data into a strategic business asset. As a key connector between the Technology, Data, and Transformation teams, you will ensure alignment across various functions, driving initiatives that enhance data governance, architecture, and platform development.
This role involves a diverse range of responsibilities, from mapping enterprise data flows and establishing governance standards to collaborating with engineering teams on cloud data platforms. You will represent the data function at architecture boards and work closely with senior stakeholders to demonstrate how improved information architecture can facilitate better decision-making. The position offers a unique blend of strategic planning and hands-on technical engagement, providing a comprehensive platform to influence the organization’s data journey significantly.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
