About The Opportunity

Organisations seeking Data Business Analysts are often managing complex data environments and looking for professionals who can translate business challenges into clear data requirements. Roles of this type could involve collaborating across technical and non-technical teams to understand data quality concerns, pipeline architecture and how systems like SAP S/4HANA, Azure and AWS support business outcomes. What You Would Do

  • Gathering and documenting data requirements from business stakeholders across the organisation
  • Analysing data pipelines and assessing alignment with business objectives
  • Evaluating data quality and identifying improvement opportunities
  • Engaging with stakeholders to understand pain points and translate them into technical specifications
  • Collaborating with engineers and architects to ensure data solutions meet business needs
  • Creating clear documentation of data flows, dependencies and requirements using tools such as BPMN and UML
  • Supporting the definition of data governance and quality standards

What You Could Bring

Must-have

  • Demonstrable experience in requirements gathering and data requirements analysis
  • Understanding of data pipelines, data quality principles and pipeline alignment
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Familiarity with enterprise data environments or data platform architecture
  • Experience working with SQL and data analysis
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Ability to work effectively in a London-based environment

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with enterprise systems such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC or SAP RISE
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms including Azure, AWS or GCP
  • Familiarity with APIs, microservices and distributed systems architecture
  • Experience with Power BI or similar analytics tools
  • Understanding of CI/CD practices and infrastructure concepts such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Exposure to CSDR or other data compliance frameworks
