Location: Kingdom Head Office, Newton-le-Willows, WA12 0HF
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm, or as required to meet the needs of the business.
About The Role
We are looking for a smart, curious and commercially minded Data & BI Analyst to take ownership of Kingdom's data platform and transform data into meaningful business insight across our group services.
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining our Microsoft Fabric and Power BI environment, integrating data from finance, CRM, workforce management and operational systems to support informed decision-making across the business.
Working at the centre of Kingdom's digital and data transformation journey, you will partner with operational, commercial and support teams to provide valuable insights, improve reporting capabilities and identify opportunities for automation and AI-driven solutions.

Experience / Qualifications / Licences / Competencies
(Holding or working towards relevant qualifications is a distinct advantage)
- Full five-year checkable employment history, including a minimum of two work references, a personal credit check and right to work in the UK.
- Proven experience in a Business Intelligence or Data Analyst role working with complex, multi-source datasets.
- Strong experience designing, building and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions.
- Experience developing data models, measures and reporting structures that support consistent decision-making.
- Experience integrating data from multiple sources, including API-driven data feeds.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, or comparable lakehouse platforms such as Azure Synapse or Databricks, including layered Bronze, Silver and Gold data structures and pipeline orchestration.
- Experience taking ownership of, extending and improving an existing reporting estate.
- Experience analysing operational, commercial or performance data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
- Exposure to AI-driven analytics, automation or advanced reporting techniques desirable.
- Experience working within a commercial, operational, retail, logistics or service-led environment desirable.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure data services and modern data architectures.
- Experience using Python or R for data analysis or automation desirable.
- Experience working with financial data and finance stakeholders, including management accounts, budgets, forecasts and contract-level profitability reporting desirable.

Skills
- Advanced Power BI skills, including DAX, data modelling and dashboard optimisation.
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation and analysis.
- Working knowledge of Power Query (M) for data transformation.
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Confidence presenting insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
- Practical understanding of data quality, governance and reporting best practice.
- Excellent documentation habits with the ability to leave models, pipelines and logic clear and easy for others to maintain.
- Ability to agree clear metric definitions with stakeholders and identify gaps in available data.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Key Responsibilities
Business Intelligence & Insight
- Analyse complex datasets and translate findings into clear, actionable insights.
- Design, build, maintain and optimise Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions.
- Develop robust data models, measures and reporting structures that support consistent decision-making.
- Identify trends, risks and opportunities across operational and commercial data.
- Deliver the Group Finance KPI reporting suite alongside the Group Finance Lead and Finance Tracking Team, including executive and board reporting packs.
- Map requested metrics back to source systems, clearly identifying what can be delivered immediately, what requires agreed definitions and what requires additional data collection.

Data Platform & Architecture
- Maintain, extend and document Kingdom's Microsoft Fabric environment, including lakehouse structures, layered storage and pipeline scheduling.
- Build and maintain Power BI semantic models that provide trusted and consistent reporting across the group.
- Apply workspace security controls and row-level security where required.
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation of data sources, transformations, models and dependencies.
Data Integration & Quality
- Integrate data from multiple sources, including API-driven feeds, spreadsheets and core business systems.
- Ensure the accuracy, consistency and reliability of reporting outputs.
- Support improvements in data quality, governance and analytical processes.
- Monitor and optimise refresh schedules, validation checks and reporting performance.
AI, Automation & Improvement
- Support the development of practical AI-driven insights and automation opportunities within analytics and reporting.
- Use automation tools to reduce manual reporting and repetitive data tasks.
- Work with colleagues across the business to identify high-value opportunities where AI or automation can simplify processes and improve insight.
- Promote innovation and continuous improvement across reporting and analytics functions.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with stakeholders across the business to understand reporting requirements and design meaningful reporting solutions.
- Present insights clearly and confidently to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Support teams in using dashboards and reports effectively.
- Work alongside external delivery or technology partners where specialist support is engaged.
Compliance & Governance
- Support all relevant statutory and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Comply with all Kingdom policies, procedures and business process manuals relevant to the role.
- Promote the use, optimisation and centralisation of all Kingdom Centres and reporting systems.

- Able to demonstrate measurable success within a similar Business Intelligence or Data Analytics role.
- Proven track record of delivering reporting solutions that positively influence operational and commercial performance.
- Evidence of improving reporting capability, data quality, stakeholder engagement and business decision-making.
