There’s a big difference between capturing a reporting requirement and understanding whether it’s actually going to produce something useful.

We’re looking for a Data Business Analyst who can do the latter.

You’ll be working within a large-scale digital transformation, sitting between the business and technical data teams and helping turn reporting requirements into genuinely useful data products.

If somebody asks for a report or dashboard, we don't just need you to document it. We need you to understand why they need it, challenge the requirement where necessary and make sure what gets built actually answers the business question.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Here's what you'll be doing:

  • Working with stakeholders to understand and challenge reporting requirements
  • Translating business needs into requirements data and BI teams can build from
  • Understanding the underlying data, models, and dependencies
  • Working with developers through delivery, testing, and validation
  • Taking ownership of the usefulness of the finished product, not just requirements and sign-off

Here's what you'll need to apply:

  • You'll be an experienced Business Analyst with strong data literacy and a background working across BI, reporting, or data products.
  • You don't need to be a Data Engineer or BI Developer, but you should be comfortable discussing data models, dimensional modelling, star schemas, fact and dimension tables, and semantic models.
  • Experience working around Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and/or Databricks would be particularly useful. D365 F&O experience is beneficial, but definitely not essential.
