Role: Data Business Analyst – (Data Migration & Front Office Operations)

Location: Hybrid based in London or Belfast 3 days a week, 2 days remote

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: End of 2026, Strong chance of extension

Daily Rate: Competitive, Inside IR35

This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile transformation programme working for one of Deloitte’s clients within its Capital Markets division. Working on a large-scale data migration initiative, partnering with Front Office, Operations, Finance and Technology teams to deliver critical change across trading platforms.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead business analysis activities across complex data migration and transformation programmes.
  • Define and validate source-to-target mappings, reconciliation rules and data quality requirements.
  • Investigate data issues, perform root cause analysis and support migration testing.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across Front Office, Operations, Technology and Finance to gather and document business requirements.
  • Support platform migration activities, ensuring data integrity and successful business acceptance.
  • Analyse operational processes and identify opportunities to reduce risk and improve controls.
  • Leverage AI-assisted analysis tools to accelerate investigation, mapping validation and reconciliation activities.

What we’re looking for

  • ✔ Proven Business Analyst experience delivering data migration, transformation and reconciliation projects.
  • ✔ Strong background within Capital Markets, ideally covering Futures & Options.
  • ✔ Experience across the full trade lifecycle, including:
    • Trade Capture
    • Clearing
    • Settlement
    • Position Management
    • Exception Management
  • ✔ Expertise creating and validating:
    • Source-to-target mappings
    • Data quality rules
    • Migration test cases
    • Business acceptance criteria
  • ✔ Strong understanding of Financial Accounting and General Ledger (GL) processes.
  • ✔ Ability to investigate discrepancies across operational systems, product processors and finance platforms.
  • ✔ Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience working across Front Office, Operations, Technology and Finance.
