About The Role
As a Data Business Analyst within the Asset Under Management (AUM) Team at Robert Walters, you will be instrumental in optimizing how AUM and fund data are accessed, processed, and leveraged across the organization. Your primary responsibility will involve analyzing complex datasets from various sources, designing and implementing efficient workflows for data movement, and collaborating closely with stakeholders to understand their data requirements. This role demands a blend of technical expertise, analytical thinking, and excellent communication skills to ensure data integrity and accessibility. You will be a key contributor to enhancing data governance practices while supporting the organization’s strategic objectives related to fund management and reporting.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Data Business Analyst within asset management or a related financial services environment, with a focus on AUM data flows.
- Strong understanding of fund operations, asset management processes, and data management principles.
- Excellent documentation skills, capable of creating clear, comprehensive workflows and process documentation.
- Solid analytical skills with the ability to identify data inconsistencies and recommend effective improvements.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements affecting fund data, ensuring compliance and responsible data handling.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and facilitating collaborative workshops or meetings.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as Excel, SQL, or data visualization platforms.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an empathetic and dependable approach to stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
- Analyzing and interpreting complex datasets related to asset management and fund operations.
- Designing and implementing workflows that facilitate seamless data movement and ensure data accuracy and integrity across systems.
- Collaborating with various teams, including IT, compliance, and fund managers, to gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Documenting processes thoroughly to maintain transparency and facilitate onboarding of team members or new stakeholders.
- Monitoring data flows for inconsistencies or inefficiencies, proposing and implementing process improvements where necessary.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards related to fund data, requiring a keen understanding of applicable legislation and internal policies.
- Supporting knowledge sharing initiatives within the team, mentoring junior analysts, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Utilizing proactive communication and problem-solving skills to streamline data operations, contributing to the organization’s strategic goals.
