Life on the team

Are you an experienced Data Centre professional with a passion for technical design, customer engagement, and delivering complex infrastructure projects? We're looking for a Data Centre Design & Implementation Consultant to join us, supporting customers from initial solution design through to successful installation and commissioning.

This is a varied, client-facing role where you'll bridge pre-sales, technical design, and delivery, ensuring projects are commercially sound, technically robust, and ready for seamless implementation. You'll join a collaborative team of data centre specialists, working alongside sales, consultancy, logistics, operational delivery teams, vendors, and customers to deliver enterprise-scale infrastructure solutions.

From early customer engagement through to installation, you'll play a key role in shaping technical designs, reducing delivery risk, and ensuring successful project outcomes across modern data centre environments, including AI and HPC infrastructure.

What you'll do

  • Support pre-sales engagements by developing technical solutions alongside customers and internal teams
  • Design data centre layouts, cabinet placement, cabling strategies, routeways, and infrastructure solutions
  • Provide technical guidance on power, cooling, and environmental requirements
  • Develop cost models, Bills of Materials, and Statements of Work for customer proposals
  • Review technical designs and BoMs to identify risks, gaps, or design mismatches
  • Produce and maintain installation-ready documentation, including P2P cabling maps and labelling requirements
  • Work closely with logistics, vendors, and delivery teams to ensure smooth project execution
  • Support projects through installation and commissioning, providing technical guidance and resolving design challenges
  • Build trusted relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
