We are seeking a hands-on Data Center Cooling Deployment & Commissioning Engineer to lead the end-to-end installation, testing, and lifecycle management of high-density thermal management systems. In this role, you will execute mechanical field deployments for Direct Liquid Cooling infrastructure, oversee fluid quality chemistry, and manage cross-functional stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-performance data center deployments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Field Deployment & Commissioning: Install, configure, and commission secondary cooling loops, Coolant Distribution Units, DLC manifolds, heat exchangers, and associated piping in line with engineering drawings and P&IDs.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance: Execute hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure testing, vacuum and leak-detection protocols, pump curve balancing, and sensor calibration prior to live operations.
  • Fluid Quality & Water Treatment: Manage global water treatment setups, routine sampling (pH, conductivity, biological growth, corrosion inhibitors), filtration maintenance, and chemical remediation actions.
  • Cross-Functional Project Oversight: Track deployment schedules, budgets, and operational KPIs while coordinating directly with customers, mechanical vendors, and general contractors.
  • Controls Integration: Partner with controls teams to integrate field sensors and telemetry with Building Management Systems and DCIM tools.
  • Maintenance & Technical Support: Provide on-site troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and preventative maintenance during deployment and post-commissioning phases.
  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict OSHA protocols, fluid containment standards, and environmental safety regulations across all project sites.

  • 2+ years of experience in industrial cooling, HVAC deployment, or data center mechanical infrastructure.
  • Direct exposure to chilled water systems, liquid-to-liquid/liquid-to-air cooling, or DLC technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret mechanical schematics, structural drawings, and P&IDs.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to on-site data center locations.
  • Strong diagnostic, analytical, and field troubleshooting capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in High-Performance Computing or hyperscale data center environments.
  • Active OSHA 10/30 or equivalent industrial safety certification.
  • Familiarity with BMS/DCIM systems and industrial protocols (Modbus, BACnet, SNMP).
  • Excellent client-facing communication skills with a background in technical customer support.
