Mackinnon Bruce are partnered with a global leader in optical communications technology, delivering advanced fibre optic connectivity solutions that power the world's most demanding data centre environments. With the rapid growth of AI, hyperscale computing and next-generation digital infrastructure, our client is expanding its commercial team to drive growth across the EMEA data centre market.

Due to continued investment, we are seeking an experienced Data Center Sales & Business Development Manager to lead commercial growth across the EMEA region, focusing on hyperscale data centres, AI infrastructure and high-performance computing deployments. This is a strategic business development role responsible for identifying new opportunities, building relationships across the data centre ecosystem and managing key customer accounts within one of the fastest-growing technology markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and strengthen relationships across the regional AI and data centre ecosystem to generate new business opportunities.
  • Drive business development activities across the EMEA region, identifying and securing opportunities within Neocloud, EuroHPC and Sovereign AI markets.
  • Manage strategic enterprise data centre accounts while coordinating activity across wider regional sales teams.
  • Create, implement and monitor detailed account plans, presenting progress and commercial updates to senior leadership.
  • Work closely with distributors, system integrators, consultants and end users to identify projects early in the sales cycle.
  • Coordinate regional account strategies with global commercial teams.
  • Maintain accurate sales pipelines, forecasts and account activity through CRM.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product Management, Market Development, Supply Chain and Operations to strengthen the overall value proposition for customers.

Candidate Profile

  • Technical degree or equivalent commercial experience.
  • Minimum of five years' sales experience within the Data Centre, IT Infrastructure or Structured Cabling industry.
  • Demonstrated success in winning new business and exceeding commercial targets.
  • Experience selling to international customers and managing complex strategic accounts.
  • Strong presentation, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and deliver results.
  • Highly organised with excellent planning and forecasting capability.
  • Fluent English is essential; additional European languages would be advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel across the EMEA region.
