About Fibreplus and the Opportunity

Fibreplus is a specialist provider of fibre infrastructure, test equipment, training, hire, service, and calibration. We work across the telecoms and data centre sectors, supporting customers with everything from fibre connectivity and containment through to testing, inspection, and technical support.

We are now looking for a commercially driven Data Centre Business Development Lead to develop and lead our presence within the UK data centre market. The successful candidate will identify new business opportunities, build relationships throughout the data centre supply chain, and work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to develop relevant products, partnerships, and solutions.

This is an opportunity to join Fibreplus at an important stage of our growth. The role will offer real ownership and the freedom to help shape our data centre strategy, develop the market, and build a valuable area of the business, with the support of the wider Fibreplus team.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Take ownership of developing Fibreplus’s presence within the UK data centre market.
  • Generate new leads and develop relationships with data centre operators, end users, contractors, specialist subcontractors, consultants, designers, and systems integrators.
  • Identify new-build, expansion, upgrade, and maintenance projects at an early stage.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities, managing them from initial contact through to order and handover.
  • Arrange customer meetings, site visits, presentations, and product demonstrations.
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and commercial submissions in collaboration with the wider Fibreplus team.
  • Maintain accurate records of prospects, opportunities, and customer activity within the company’s CRM system.
  • Achieve agreed revenue, margin, and business-development targets.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
