Data Centre IFM Operations Manager

Location: Corby & Peterborough

Lead the operation behind critical infrastructure

We're looking for an exceptional operational leader to take ownership of a complex, business-critical data centre estate.

As Data Centre IFM Operations Manager, you'll be the senior operational authority across multiple sites, responsible for the resilience, performance and compliance of critical engineering infrastructure and integrated facilities management services. Working closely with the Strategic Client Director and supported by Technical IFM Managers at each location, you'll lead teams, suppliers and stakeholders to deliver outstanding service in an environment where reliability, safety and uptime are paramount.

This is a role that combines strategic leadership with hands-on operational oversight. You'll drive engineering excellence across electrical and mechanical systems, oversee business continuity and incident management, ensure robust compliance and governance standards, and shape long-term asset and lifecycle strategies. You'll also be accountable for the successful delivery of integrated facilities services, ensuring they support the unique demands of a critical environment.

A key part of the role will be building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, providing clear leadership during both day-to-day operations and critical incidents, and creating a culture where safety, accountability, continuous improvement and customer focus are embedded in everything the team does.

About You

You'll be an experienced leader from a data centre, critical infrastructure or high-availability environment, with a passion for operational excellence and developing high-performing teams.

We're Particularly Interested In Candidates Who Can Demonstrate

  • Significant experience leading operations within data centres, mission-critical facilities or similar environments.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering governance, operational resilience, risk management and compliance.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering and facilities teams across multiple sites.
  • A track record of delivering exceptional service while maintaining the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance.
  • The ability to lead and coordinate incident response, business continuity and service recovery activities.
  • Strong commercial awareness, including budget management, supplier performance and contract delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with clients, senior stakeholders and technical teams.
  • A collaborative leadership style that inspires, develops and motivates others.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
