We're looking for a Data Centre IFM Technical Manager to lead integrated facilities management operations within a critical data centre environment, ensuring the safe, compliant and resilient operation of essential engineering infrastructure.
You'll play a key role in maintaining business-critical services, leading engineering teams and specialist partners, and working closely with client stakeholders to deliver exceptional operational performance.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day engineering and IFM operations across critical electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring safety, compliance and operational resilience.
- Manage maintenance, change control, incident response and technical assurance activities across the site.
- Lead and develop on-site engineering teams, contractors and service partners, driving high performance and continuous improvement.
- Oversee compliance with statutory regulations, permit-to-work processes, safe systems of work and audit requirements.
- Act as the primary operational contact for client stakeholders, providing clear communication on performance, risks, planned works and incidents.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- HNC, HND, Degree or recognised apprenticeship in Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
- IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent) as a minimum.
- Relevant HV/LV or critical environment authorisation, or the ability to obtain site-specific authorisation.

What We're Looking For
- Proven experience within a data centre, critical environment or high-availability engineering facility.
- Strong knowledge of critical infrastructure including electrical distribution, UPS, generators, cooling systems, BMS and fire systems.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams, contractors and service providers.
- Confidence leading incident response, change management and operational risk activities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
