Data Centre Supervisor

Location: Manchester (site-based)
Employment Type: Permanent, full-time
Salary: £40,000 - £46,000

About the Role

We are working with a specialist provider of IT cabling and critical infrastructure support services, delivering managed data centre operations for major enterprise clients across the UK.

This is a site-based Data Centre Supervisor role within a live, high-availability 24/7 environment. You will take ownership of the day-to-day delivery of Moves, Adds & Changes (MAC) activity and Business-as-Usual (BAU) operations, supervising the on-site team and making sure work is delivered safely, to standard, and within SLA.

Working alongside the Data Centre Manager, Service Delivery Manager and client stakeholders, you will be involved in planning and scheduling works, coordinating vendors, and driving continuous improvement in how the site runs. It is a hands-on supervisory position for someone who knows structured cabling inside out and enjoys the operational rhythm of a live data hall.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver MAC and BAU activities across data centre and campus environments
  • Support the planning, scheduling and execution of works to meet client requirements
  • Monitor and ensure SLA performance, escalating risks and issues where required
  • Coordinate with internal teams, clients and third-party vendors to maintain service excellence
  • Supervise cabling, installation, decommissioning and equipment handling activities within the data centre
  • Manage workload allocation, resource planning and shift coverage
  • Maintain compliance with health & safety, quality standards and client processes
  • Support incident management, troubleshooting and first-line technical support
  • Maintain accurate documentation, reporting and asset tracking systems
  • Participate in operational, client and team meetings and contribute to service improvement

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
