The Opportunity
Nova Artes is working with a leading organisation within the data centre and mission-critical sector to recruit an experienced Data Centre Supervisor.
This is a hands-on supervisory position responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of a critical data centre environment, coordinating engineering activity and ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required technical standards.
We are particularly interested in candidates with practical experience across Data Centre MAC (Moves, Adds & Changes), structured cabling installation and asset management, alongside a strong understanding of data centre operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day engineering and operational activity within the data centre
- Coordinate and deliver MAC – Moves, Adds & Changes across the facility
- Oversee and support cabling installations, including structured copper and fibre infrastructure
- Manage the installation, movement and decommissioning of equipment
- Maintain accurate asset registers, inventory and equipment records
- Ensure assets are correctly labelled, tracked and documented throughout their lifecycle
- Coordinate engineers, technicians, contractors and third-party suppliers
- Supervise rack installations, patching and associated white-space activity
- Ensure all works are completed in accordance with site procedures and Health & Safety requirements
- Review RAMS and support permit-to-work processes
- Carry out site inspections and quality checks
- Support planned and reactive maintenance activities
- Escalate technical and operational issues where required
- Maintain accurate documentation and provide operational reporting
- Work closely with Data Centre Management, customers and other key stakeholders
- Help maintain exceptional standards across the data hall and wider critical environment

Essential Requirements
The successful candidate will need demonstrable experience in:
- Data Centre MAC – Moves, Adds & Changes
- Data centre cabling installation
- Structured cabling, including copper and fibre
- Asset management and asset lifecycle control
- Rack installation, patching and equipment deployment
- Data hall / white-space operations
- Managing or supervising engineers, technicians or contractors
- Working within a live, critical data centre environment
- RAMS, permits and safe systems of work
- Maintaining accurate technical and operational documentation

About You
We are looking for someone who is technically capable but equally comfortable taking responsibility for people, workloads and standards.
You will need excellent organisational and communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to coordinate multiple activities within a fast-paced critical environment.
Candidates currently working as a Data Centre Supervisor, Data Centre Engineer, Senior Data Centre Technician, Critical Facilities Supervisor, MAC Engineer, Cabling Supervisor or Data Centre Operations Supervisor would be particularly relevant.
