Overview
We are seeking highly motivated Data Centre Technicians to support the day-to-day operation of a mission-critical data centre environment.
Working as part of a 24/7 operations team, you will be responsible for monitoring critical infrastructure, responding to alarms and operational events, supporting engineering teams, and providing hands-on technical support across the facility.
This role is ideal for individuals with experience in data centres, critical facilities, telecommunications, IT infrastructure, utilities, manufacturing, defence, building services, or technical operations environments who are looking to build a career within one of the world's fastest-growing industries.

As a frontline operations professional, you will play a key role in maintaining site availability, operational resilience, and customer service standards within a live data centre environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor BMS, DCIM, and alarm management systems, ensuring operational issues are identified and escalated appropriately.
- Carry out routine inspections of critical infrastructure and data halls, reporting any faults, risks, or abnormal operating conditions.
- Provide first-line response to infrastructure alarms, equipment faults, and operational incidents, following established escalation procedures.
- Support the operation of critical power, cooling, and environmental systems within a live data centre environment.
- Provide smart hands support including rack installation, equipment deployment, structured cabling, hardware replacement, and basic troubleshooting activities.
- Assist Critical Facilities Engineers with planned preventative maintenance activities and infrastructure inspections.
- Escort contractors and vendors, ensuring all work activities are carried out safely and in accordance with site procedures.
- Support goods-in operations, equipment moves, asset tracking, and inventory management activities.
- Maintain accurate shift logs, incident records, and operational documentation to support effective shift handovers.
- Monitor environmental conditions including temperature, humidity, and infrastructure status across the facility.
- Follow permit-to-work processes, security procedures, and health & safety requirements within a mission-critical environment.
- Support emergency response activities and business continuity procedures when required.
- Contribute to a culture of operational excellence, attention to detail, and continuous improvement.
