Data Centre Technician – CoreWeave

About the Role

The Data Centre Operations team forms the physical heart of our business, overseeing the construction, maintenance, and operation of the state-of-the-art infrastructure underpinning our cloud. This team is responsible for ensuring stability, security, and scalability of our assets while operating within a fast-paced and hyper-growth environment to deliver best-in-class results for our clients.

This is an 100% on-site role, where the Data Centre Technician plays a key part in maintaining availability, reliability, and optimal performance. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting hardware and network diagnostics, followed by physical repair and maintenance.
  • Performing root cause analysis of component failures.
  • Training internal teams and creating documentation or scripts to update server and networking systems.
  • Responding to on-site equipment failures within 60 minutes while on call.
  • Traveling up to 10% of the time to other required locations.

What You’ll Bring

Technical Requirements

  • Proficiency in computer hardware, including troubleshooting, assembly, and diagnostics.
  • Extensive experience with Linux operating systems.
  • Experience in computer networking (preferred).
  • Familiarity with Cisco IOS and/or Juniper JunOS (preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of Python, Bash, or other scripting languages (preferred).

Physical & Operational Requirements

  • Ability to transport and position hardware weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Capacity to remain in stationary positions for extended periods and navigate confined spaces, including working on ladders or under-floor areas.
  • Fine motor skills for handling small hardware and cables.
  • Availability to engage in flexible, 24/7 shift work, including rotating on-call duties with fast response times.
