Overview
This is an opportunity to join a leading technology services organisation supporting large-scale datacentre deployment and infrastructure projects within a high-performance operational environment.
The organisation specialises in delivering enterprise infrastructure solutions for major customers, supporting the deployment, installation, and integration of critical server and network equipment within secure datacentre environments.
As a technician you will play a key role in the customisation and deployment of enterprise hardware, working closely with operational, consultancy, and infrastructure teams to ensure installations are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. This role is ideal for someone with previous datacentre experience who enjoys hands-on technical work and working within fast-paced delivery environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Rack and stack active network hardware, including switches, routers, and servers
- Install power and data cabling within server and networking racks
- Understand and follow patching schedules and cut sheets
- Read and interpret rack elevation diagrams and deployment documentation
- Install and test fibre optic cabling
- Provide on-site support to remote network and systems administrators
- Apply basic IP addressing under instruction and guidance
- Support UPS installation and configuration activities where required
- Collaborate with engineering, project management, and operational teams to ensure successful and timely deployments
- Follow all health and safety procedures, industry standards, and environmental guidelines
- Work to targets, SLAs, and project delivery timescales
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of structured cabling solutions and datacentre best practices
- Apply strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail whilst performing hands-on technical tasks
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders
- Work independently and as part of a wider team to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions

Experience working within hyperscale or high-performance computing (HPC) datacentre environments would be advantageous
Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS), facility controls, or remote monitoring tools is desirable
OSHA 10/30 certification or equivalent health and safety qualification is advantageous but not essential
