This is Data Commercial Analyst
This is a great opportunity to join a brand-new Data function and help shape how the business uses data across Finance, Operations, HR, Project Management and wider business systems.
The Role
We’re looking for a Data Commercial Analyst who can bridge the gap between the business and technology. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders to understand business requirements, analyse data and turn insights into practical solutions.
This is not a purely technical role - strong stakeholder management and commercial understanding are just as important as your technical capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and translate business requirements into practical data and systems solutions.
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards using DAX and Microsoft Fabric.
- Use SQL for analysis, validation and data quality checks.
- Work with Data Engineering to investigate and resolve data issues.
- Analyse commercial, operational, financial and resourcing data.
- Support process improvement, UAT and implementation of new systems.
- Define KPIs, business rules and reporting requirements.
- Work with senior stakeholders to communicate insights and recommendations clearly.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
