We're partnering with one of the UK's leading Microsoft cloud consultancies to find an experienced Data Consultant to join their growing Data & AI practice.
This is an opportunity to work for a business that's recognised as a true Microsoft specialist, delivering complex cloud, data and AI transformation projects for enterprise customers across the UK. You'll work alongside some of the brightest minds in the Microsoft ecosystem, helping organisations unlock the full value of their data using the latest Azure and Microsoft Fabric technologies.

The Role
As a Data Consultant, you'll take ownership of designing and delivering modern data platforms built on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric.
Working closely with customers, you'll lead workshops, define data strategies, architect scalable solutions, and provide technical leadership throughout the delivery lifecycle. This is a hands-on consulting role where you'll combine strategic thinking with technical expertise to help customers build secure, governed and future-proof data platforms.

What You'll Be Doing
- Designing end-to-end Azure and Microsoft Fabric data platforms
- Building scalable Lakehouse architectures using the Medallion approach (Bronze, Silver & Gold)
- Architecting enterprise data warehouses, Fabric Warehouses and Azure Data Lake solutions
- Designing dimensional data models for reporting and analytics
- Overseeing the development of ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Fabric Pipelines
- Providing technical leadership across PySpark and SQL development
- Implementing data governance, security and compliance using Microsoft Purview
- Enabling high-quality Power BI reporting through robust semantic models
- Running customer workshops and translating business requirements into technical solutions
- Acting as a trusted advisor throughout project delivery
- Mentoring engineers and helping shape data architecture best practice across the business
What We're Looking For
You'll ideally have experience as a Data Architect, or be a Senior Data Engineer ready to step into an architecture-focused consulting role.

- PySpark & SQL
- Lakehouse / Medallion Architecture
- Dimensional Data Modelling
- Power BI & DAX
- Microsoft Purview
- Data Governance & Security
- DevOps & CI/CD within data environments
You'll also need to be comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels, leading workshops, producing architectural documentation, and translating business needs into scalable technical solutions.
