Freelance Data Consultant

London

Outside IR35

£240 to £320 per day

ASAP Start

Hybrid - 1 day onsite

This is an excellent opportunity for a Freelance Data Consultant to join a specialist data and analytics consultancy on a reporting-focused contract. The assignment offers a mix of dedicated client ownership and broader project exposure, making it ideal for someone who enjoys independent working while delivering meaningful insight across multiple stakeholder groups.

Working across a diverse client portfolio, they support businesses with reporting, measurement, customer analytics, and performance optimisation. Their teams combine technical expertise with commercial understanding to help clients make more informed decisions.

The Role and Deliverables

  • Build, maintain, and enhance reporting dashboards using Looker Studio.
  • Analyse paid media, website, and campaign performance data to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
  • Clean, interrogate, and analyse customer data to support business decision-making.
  • Use SQL and Python to extract, manipulate, and analyse large datasets.
  • Support reporting and analytical deliverables across a range of client projects.
  • Present insights and recommendations to client stakeholders, translating technical findings into clear business outcomes.

Your Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience building and maintaining dashboards and reports in Looker Studio.
  • Proven ability to interpret paid media, digital marketing, and website performance data.
  • Practical capability using Python and SQL for data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience cleaning, validating, and analysing customer data to generate business insight.
  • Exposure to CRM datasets and customer analytics projects.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Comfortable working autonomously and managing priorities across multiple projects.
  • Experience with GA4 and/or Google Tag Manager is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau is advantageous.
  • Previous experience working within education or similar client environments would be welcomed.
