Scientific Data Curator - CMC & Drug Discovery

Scientific Data Curator - CMC & Drug Discovery | Hybrid | Contract Opportunity

I'm working with a leading pharmaceutical organisation that is investing heavily in AI-driven research and development and is looking to appoint an experienced Scientific Data Curator to support the creation of high-quality, AI-ready scientific data assets.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who can bridge the gap between drug discovery, CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing & Controls), data governance, and AI-enabled research.

You'll work closely with scientists, engineers, and data specialists to improve the quality, structure, and accessibility of complex scientific datasets, helping to accelerate research and support the next generation of AI-enabled drug development.

Key responsibilities:

  • Curate, standardise, and manage scientific datasets across drug discovery and CMC functions.
  • Develop data standards, metadata frameworks, and governance processes.
  • Transform complex scientific data into structured, AI-ready assets.
  • Improve data quality, lineage, consistency, and traceability across R&D datasets.
  • Collaborate with medicinal chemists, formulation scientists, process engineers, and AI specialists.
  • Support digital transformation and data governance initiatives across research and development teams.
  • Promote FAIR data principles and best practices across scientific data environments.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
