Data Delivery Manager
Contract Duration: Until end of March 2027
Location: London (Hybrid working model)
Inside IR35
As a Data Delivery Manager, you will spearhead the planning, execution, and enhancement of strategic projects within the Data team. This role is pivotal in ensuring that project delivery is in sync with departmental methodologies and serves as a crucial bridge among business stakeholders, data product managers, and technical teams.
Your leadership will drive the successful delivery of high-value data projects, ensuring they align with organizational goals while promoting agile practices and managing risks effectively.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Initiation:
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables with stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans including timelines, resource allocation, and budgeting.

Project Execution and Coordination:
- Lead the daily management of strategic data projects across various teams.
- Establish and oversee project governance structures and delivery processes.

Project Closure and Continuous Improvement:
- Manage project closure processes ensuring all deliverables and documentation are completed.
- Lead post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and integrate improvements into future projects.

Resource and Budget Management:
- Identify resource needs, manage budget allocations, and optimize project performance.
- Address financial variances and manage project expenditures within approved budgets.

Risk and Issue Management:
- Proactively manage project risks and issues, ensuring mitigation strategies are in place and effectively communicated.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Maintain robust tracking and reporting mechanisms to monitor project progress against goals.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders and adjust project strategies as needed.

Change and Vendor Management:
- Facilitate change management processes to minimize disruptions and manage vendor relationships to ensure compliance with project requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in project management within a matrix environment, utilizing methodologies like Agile and Waterfall.
- Experience in managing cross-functional teams and multi-faceted project portfolios.
- Strong familiarity with modern data platforms, cloud technologies, and data management best practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Right to Work in the UK is essential.
- Desirable: Experience in media or publishing sectors, and familiarity with project management tools like Asana, Jira, or Microsoft Project.
