Data Engineer
Contract
£450 - £525 per day inside IR35
Hybrid (Reading - 3 days per week)
12-month Contract
Active SC Clearance is essential for this role
Defence or Aerospace experience is preferred
Hiring for an experienced Data Engineer to join a major digital transformation programme, designing and delivering secure, enterprise-scale cloud data platforms.

Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable, secure data pipelines and architectures.
- Lead enterprise data integration and ETL/ELT solutions.
- Drive data governance, security, and best practice.
- Mentor engineering teams and provide technical leadership.
- Optimise cloud-based data platforms for performance and reliability.

Skills Required
- Strong Data Engineering background.
- AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- ETL/ELT, Data Warehousing, and Big Data technologies (Spark/Hadoop).
- Python, Java, or Scala.
- Experience designing secure, enterprise-scale data platforms.
- Defence or Aerospace background
