Data Engineer | SC Cleared / SC Eligible

Hybrid working in Manchester or London
£60,000 - £70,000 + benefits

We're recruiting for a Data Engineer to join an established consultancy delivering transformation programmes across the public and private sectors.

You'll work within Agile teams, designing and building modern data solutions using cloud technologies, helping organisations turn data into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain data pipelines, models, and data products.
  • Work with SQL, Python, and modern data engineering tools.
  • Develop solutions on AWS and/or Azure platforms.
  • Support analytics, reporting, and data visualisation initiatives.
  • Apply best practices across testing, CI/CD, security, and governance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to solve real business challenges.

What We're Looking For

  • Commercial experience in Data Engineering.
  • Strong SQL and Python skills.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, Databricks, Fabric, Redshift etc.).
  • Knowledge of data modelling, ETL/ELT, and data warehousing.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Spark, PySpark, Pandas, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Understanding of Git, testing, and CI/CD practices.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
