Data Engineer

A leading professional services organisation is seeking a Data Engineer to join its growing Data & Analytics function. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the development and enhancement of an enterprise data platform, helping to deliver high-quality reporting, analytics, and business insights.

You'll be responsible for designing and maintaining data solutions, building scalable data pipelines, and supporting the delivery of robust data models that power enterprise reporting and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop enterprise data platform solutions.
  • Build and maintain scalable, production-grade data pipelines and transformation processes.
  • Develop dimensional data models to support reporting and analytics requirements.
  • Manage and optimise Snowflake environments for performance and cost efficiency.
  • Create and maintain data ingestion pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF).
  • Implement data governance, security controls, and access management policies.
  • Contribute to data engineering standards, best practices, and CI/CD processes.
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver business-focused data solutions.

  • Strong experience in data engineering, data architecture, and data modelling.
  • Hands-on expertise with Snowflake, including administration and performance optimisation.
  • Experience using Azure Data Factory (ADF) for orchestration and data integration.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing and dimensional modelling principles.
  • Experience creating enterprise data models, data dictionaries, and taxonomies.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to business stakeholders.
  • Experience within professional services or legal services environments would be advantageous.
