Help us turn data into better experiences

We’re looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our growing Data Team at Travel Chapter.

As a data-led business, data is at the heart of how we operate and how we deliver great experiences for our staff, clients and property owners. This is an exciting opportunity to join us at a time of significant growth, working on large-scale data migration projects and helping to build and extend the data that powers our products and decision-making.

You’ll play a key role in designing, building, testing and operating data solutions, working closely with colleagues across Technology, Product, Delivery and other areas of the business.

What you'll be doing

  • Working with the Technology team to move and transform data from a range of business sources into our data warehouse.
  • Designing, building and maintaining large-scale data solutions and data pipelines using our ELT tools and technology stack.
  • Writing and maintaining high-quality Python and SQL, with a strong focus on performance, reliability and maintainability.
  • Working with Snowflake, MySQL and MS SQL Server 2019 to develop and optimise data solutions.
  • Collaborating closely with Delivery and Product teams to provide progress updates and ensure projects are delivered on time.
  • Working alongside Senior Developers to improve our development tools, processes, technology stack, application performance and stability.
  • Participating in and supporting code reviews to maintain high development standards.
  • Testing data solutions and applying appropriate testing strategies to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Troubleshooting production issues through to resolution and identifying ways to prevent them from happening again.
  • Providing out-of-hours support when required, in line with organisational SLAs.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
