🚀 Data Engineer | £60,000–£75,000 + 10% Bonus | UK Remote
If you're a Data Engineer who enjoys building things properly, working with modern data platforms and having a genuine say in how data infrastructure evolves, this could be a really interesting one. I'm currently recruiting for a Data Engineer to join a large, international organisation going through a significant digital and data transformation.
📍 UK-based | Largely remote
🏢 Bristol: onsite at least once a month
💰 £60,000–£75,000 + 10% bonus
What you'll be doing
You'll play a key role in developing and evolving a centralised data platform, taking ownership of data pipelines from source systems through to the wider data platform. You'll be working hands-on with:
- Databricks, including Delta Lake and Unity Catalog
- PySpark for large-scale data transformation and processing
- Azure, including Data Factory, Data Lake Storage and DevOps
- Azure SQL Server and existing data warehouse environments
- ELT, REST APIs and JSON
- Data modelling across relational and non-relational technologies
- Pipeline development, optimisation and maintenance

You'll also work closely with Data Architects, technical teams and business stakeholders to turn real business challenges into scalable data solutions.
What we're looking for
You'll ideally have strong commercial experience across Databricks, PySpark and Azure, alongside a solid understanding of data engineering principles, data modelling and pipeline architecture. Just as importantly, you'll be comfortable talking to stakeholders and translating business requirements into technical solutions. Experience with Power BI would be a bonus. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to be more than just a pair of hands. You'll have genuine technical ownership, work within a DevOps and Agile environment, and have the opportunity to influence how data is managed and used across a large international business.
