Data Engineer – National Security | eDV Sponsorship

Location: Central London, 5 days onsite

Salary: £60,000 – £100,000 depending on experience

Clearance: Active SC or DV required

⭐ Enhanced DV (eDV) sponsorship provided

We’re supporting an fast-growing engineering SME that is expanding its presence across the UK National Security space and looking to build out its Data Engineering capability in London.

A major part of this opportunity is the chance to progress your existing SC or DV clearance to enhanced Developed Vetting (eDV).

Alongside this, you’ll be joining a business at an exciting point in its growth. The team is still relatively small, meaning you’ll have the opportunity to make a genuine impact, develop your technical skills and progress as the company expands.

They’re looking for technically capable, curious engineers rather than people who simply tick every box on a job description. If you have strong engineering fundamentals, enjoy solving difficult problems and want to continue developing your career within National Security, they’re keen to speak.

What you'll be doing

  • Designing and building scalable data pipelines and platforms
  • Ingesting, transforming and processing complex structured and unstructured datasets
  • Developing data solutions supporting analytics, AI and machine learning
  • Working with technologies including Python, PySpark, Spark and SQL
  • Working across modern cloud and data engineering environments
  • Collaborating closely with Software, Data and Platform Engineers
  • Improving data quality, reliability, scalability and performance
  • Contributing to technical design and architecture decisions
  • Working across greenfield and evolving National Security programmes
  • Taking on greater technical responsibility as the team grows

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
