Role overview
We are looking for a Data Engineer to own and scale that platform. You will build reliable pipelines into Snowflake, raise data quality across business units, and lay the foundations our analytics and AI work depend on. This is a hands-on role for someone who has already run production pipelines and wants to shape how a regulated business manages its data.
Our team is remote-first. You can work fully remotely in the UK or hybrid from our London office.
What you will do
- Design, build and run ingestion and transformation pipelines into Snowflake, from ERP, pharmacy, clinic, logistics and finance systems.
- Own orchestration, monitoring and alerting so pipelines fail loudly and recover predictably.
- Build and maintain dbt models that give the business one agreed version of core data.
- Measure and publish data quality (completeness, duplicates, timeliness) and fix root causes, not symptoms.
- Manage infrastructure as code (Terraform) and keep the platform secure, cost-efficient and well documented.
- Apply access controls that keep each business unit inside its approved data scope.
- Review code, set engineering standards and support colleagues and business-unit data roles.
What you will bring
Essential
- Strong Python and SQL, used to build and run production data pipelines.
- Business and People skills to deliver technical and commercial value independently.
- Hands-on experience with a cloud data warehouse, ideally Snowflake.
- Experience with an orchestration tool and with CI/CD, version control and testing.
- Clear communication with non-technical colleagues, and the judgement to question a requirement before building it.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
