Job Description

Ready to work with some of EDF's largest and most business critical datasets? Want to build data products that drive key financial decisions, work across the full engineering lifecycle, and help shape how data is used across the business? At EDF, Success is Personal and you'll grow your data engineering career your way.

The Opportunity

As a Data Engineer in our Finance Systems and Analytics team, you'll help design, build and maintain data products that power insight across key financial systems. Working at the heart of Finance, you'll contribute to solutions that support decision-making at scale and help drive business performance.

Alongside a competitive salary and potential for an annual bonus, this role offers flexible working with occasional travel to our #Exeter or #London offices. You'll benefit from a hybrid approach, giving you the flexibility to balance remote working with team collaboration.

You'll work across the full data lifecycle in a DevOps environment from discovery and design through to build, deployment and optimisation. This is an opportunity to work with large scale, complex datasets, modern engineering practices and cross functional teams to deliver solutions that create real commercial value. As part of a growing and evolving data capability, you'll have the opportunity to develop new technical skills, contribute fresh ideas and help improve how data and analytics are used across Finance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
