Data Engineer – Snowflake / dbt / Azure

Permanent - £50k - £60k
Glasgow area – approx. 2 days a month onsite

We’re looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join a growing Data Team within a global organisation and play a key role in the development of its next-generation data platform.

This is an opportunity to join at an exciting point in the journey, as the organisation continues to evolve towards a modern, Snowflake- and dbt-led data architecture. You’ll have the opportunity to influence engineering standards, build new data products and help shape how data is engineered and used across the business. You’ll be joining at a point where there is real opportunity to influence the future direction of the platform and engineering practice.

You’ll work closely with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Engineers and business stakeholders to build reliable, scalable and well-governed data solutions.

The Role

As a Data Engineer, you’ll be responsible for designing, building and supporting data pipelines and data products across a modern cloud data environment.

You’ll be involved in:

  • Building and maintaining ELT/data transformation pipelines using dbt and Snowflake
  • Developing robust and scalable data pipelines using Python and SQL
  • Designing and maintaining data models to support analytics, reporting and data science
  • Working with Snowflake to optimise performance, data structures and compute costs
  • Implementing data quality checks, automated testing and monitoring
  • Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and applying software engineering best practice to data development
  • Using Git and version control, code reviews and automated deployment processes
  • Integrating data from a range of internal and external sources
  • Supporting data governance, security and regulatory requirements
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues across production data pipelines

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
