About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Property Manager to join our dynamic team at Places for People. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of residential and commercial properties, ensuring they are maintained to the highest standards. The Property Manager will act as the primary point of contact for tenants, contractors, and stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and resolving issues promptly. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual to contribute to the organization’s mission of creating sustainable communities while developing their career within a reputable and forward-thinking company.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a relevant qualification in property management, real estate, or a related field. A minimum of three years of experience in property management or facilities management is required. Strong knowledge of property legislation, health and safety regulations, and tenant relations is essential. Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills are vital for success in this role. Proficiency in property management software and MS Office Suite is preferred. A proactive approach, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are highly valued traits.

Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of assigned properties, ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards.
- Coordinate maintenance and repair activities, liaising with contractors and service providers to ensure timely completion.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with tenants, addressing their concerns and resolving issues efficiently.
- Conduct regular property inspections to assess condition and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare and manage budgets, monitor expenses, and optimize operational costs.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of all property-related documentation, including lease agreements, maintenance logs, and compliance reports.
- Implement and enforce policies and procedures to promote a safe and welcoming environment.
- Assist in marketing vacant units and participating in tenant retention initiatives.
- Stay updated on industry trends, legislative changes, and best practices to ensure ongoing compliance and operational excellence.
