Senior Python / Data Engineer
Remote – UK | Competitive Salary + Bonus | Start ASAP
Accelerant is transforming the specialty insurance industry through technology, data and analytics. Our Risk Exchange connects specialty MGAs with risk capital partners, using technology to create a more efficient insurance ecosystem.
We're looking for a Senior Python / Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering team and help build and evolve the technology and data platforms behind our business.
You'll be working across both software development and data engineering, using Python to build robust data solutions, pipelines and platforms. You'll play an important role in developing the systems that process and manage large volumes of data across Accelerant.
You'll be involved in:
- Developing production-grade solutions using Python
- Building and maintaining data pipelines
- Designing and developing scalable data platforms and data lakes
- Processing and transforming large datasets
- Applying strong software engineering principles to data engineering
- Improving the reliability, scalability and performance of data systems
- Working with cloud technologies and modern data tools
- Contributing to technical architecture and engineering decisions
- Working closely with Data Engineers, Software Engineers and other technical teams
- Exploring and contributing to AI and LLM-driven solutions

We're looking for a Senior Engineer with a strong Python development background who has progressed into Data Engineering.
You'll ideally have:
- Strong commercial experience with Python
- Solid experience in Data Engineering
- Experience building data pipelines and data processing solutions
- Experience working with data lakes or modern data platforms
- Strong software engineering fundamentals
- Experience working with cloud technologies
- Experience working with large or complex datasets
- An interest in AI, LLMs and modern engineering practices
