Junior Data & AI Engineer | London - Hybrid | £40,000 – £50,000 + Bonus

We’re partnering with a technology-led consultancy that combines data, software, and AI to deliver research and analysis for leading organisations across sustainability, investment, and other complex areas.

Alongside their consultancy offering, the business has built its own data platform, combining structured company data with AI-assisted analysis. They’re now looking for a Junior Data & AI Engineer to join their small engineering team and contribute to the continued development of this platform.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Computer Science graduate or someone with up to a year of experience who wants to build strong foundations across Python, data engineering, AI, and cloud technologies while working on a genuine product from day one.

The Role

As a Junior Data & AI Engineer, you’ll work closely with experienced engineers on well-scoped pieces of work across the company’s data and AI pipelines.

You’ll be given genuine responsibility from the outset, with senior technical support around you as you develop your skills and gradually take ownership of components of the platform.

This is a hands-on engineering role, focused on writing good code, understanding how it works, and ensuring the data and outputs being produced are accurate.

What You’ll Be Doing

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
