Data Engineer

Data & Analytics

Location: Belfast / Hybrid Working
Salary: Up to £60,000 + Benefits Package

About the Role

We're supporting a growing Data & Analytics team looking to add a Data Engineer who can take ownership of data pipelines, support modern reporting platforms and help drive a data-led culture across the business. This is a hands-on role suited to someone comfortable working independently, building scalable data solutions and partnering with analysts and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-quality data products.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Designing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines to support analytics and reporting.
  • Building data ingestion processes from a variety of source systems.
  • Developing and supporting data warehouse and data lake environments.
  • Working with Microsoft Fabric and SQL Server-based platforms.
  • Collaborating with analysts and stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Supporting data governance, security and quality initiatives.
  • Monitoring data platforms and identifying opportunities for improvement.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years' experience within Data Engineering.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience building data pipelines.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT tooling and data integration platforms.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Fivetran, Alteryx or similar technologies.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing, dimensional modelling and data lakes.
  • Hands-on exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP.
  • Python experience would be advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work proactively with minimal supervision.
