We are working with a public sector organisation that is a pioneer in developing and evolving enterprise data platforms, enabling critical data-driven decisions. They are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to contribute to their significant data transformation and modernisation initiatives.
The Role
- Lead the design, development, and optimisation of enterprise data pipelines and integration solutions.
- Build and maintain secure, scalable, and reliable data platforms for analytics and reporting.
- Define and promote engineering standards for automation, testing, monitoring, and documentation.
- Implement data quality, validation, and monitoring processes to enhance data product reliability.
- Investigate and resolve complex data issues, driving continuous improvement within the data platform.
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust engineering solutions.

What You'll Need
- Significant experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or Data Platform Engineering within a complex organisation.
- Strong experience designing and developing enterprise-scale data pipelines and integration solutions.
- Experience with structured and semi-structured data to support analytics and reporting.
- Strong understanding of data modelling, ETL/ELT processes, and modern data engineering principles.
- Experience implementing data quality controls, monitoring, and performance optimisation.
- Experience with the Microsoft data stack, particularly Microsoft Fabric and Microsoft Azure.
