Data Engineer
Required for a long-term engagement, offering competitive rates, supporting a large-scale data migration and cloud transformation programme. Hybrid role requiring 2 days onsite in the West Midlands, working primarily with ETL, SAS and AWS technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop ETL pipelines for large-scale data migration
- Build and optimise data flows within cloud-based environments
- Work with development teams to refactor and enhance existing data processes
- Implement data transformations, validation and quality checks
- Develop automated workflows using DevOps and CI/CD tools
- Integrate data pipelines into continuous delivery frameworks
- Implement monitoring and alerting for data quality and pipeline health
- Support UAT, production readiness and data validation activities
- Collaborate with architects, business analysts and testing teams

Skills & Experience
- Active SC Clearance required
- Strong Data Engineering and ETL experience
- Experience with SAS Data Integration, Pentaho or Talend
- Strong experience with SAS 9.4 and/or SAS Viya
- Strong SQL and Python skills
- Experience with AWS and cloud-based data solutions
- Docker/Kubernetes experience desirable
- Experience with data modelling, performance tuning and large-scale migration
- Git/Jenkins and CI/CD experience
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
