MERITUS are recruiting for two Data Engineers to join a leading Technology Consultancy, supporting secure data engineering across major UK Defence programmes.
DATA ENGINEER – 6 MONTH CONTRACT (INSIDE IR35) - UP TO £700/DAY – GREAT MALVERN (HYBRID) – 3 DAYS ON-SITE – SC CLEARANCE REQUIRED
We’re looking for two Data Engineers to join a Defence Consultancy based in Malvern.
The roles will suit engineers with strong Python, SQL and Databricks experience, working across modern cloud-based data environments. The platform is currently expected to be AWS, with a planned migration to Google Secure Cloud.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and engineering solutions.
- Work with Python, SQL and Databricks across complex datasets.
- Support data integration, transformation and processing.
- Contribute to technical design and data engineering best practice.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects and wider technical stakeholders.
- Work within secure Defence and Government environments.

Skills & Experience:
- Experience as a Data Engineer, Data Developer or similar.
- Strong Python and SQL skills.
- Commercial Databricks experience.
- Experience with data pipelines, ETL/ELT or data processing.
- Understanding of cloud data engineering.
- Active SC or DV Clearance
Desirable:
- AWS, Google Cloud, Defence/Central Government, large-scale data or regulated environments.
