Data Engineer Consultant (SC Cleared)
Contract: Inside IR35
Rate: Up to £325 per day
Location: Remote
Clearance: Active SC Clearance required
We're supporting a major public sector digital transformation programme and are looking for 2 x Data Engineer Consultants to join a high-performing delivery team. This is an opportunity to work on large-scale data platforms, helping to design and build modern cloud-based data solutions that support critical national services.
What You'll Be Doing
- Building and maintaining data source connectivity and transformation frameworks
- Designing complex data ingestion and pipeline patterns for high-volume datasets
- Developing solutions involving Change Data Capture (CDC) and parallel data loading
- Creating reusable engineering patterns and templates to accelerate delivery
- Supporting the design and optimisation of scalable, high-performance data platforms
- Collaborating with senior engineering teams to ensure solutions are robust, reusable and production-ready

Essential Skills
- Strong experience in Data Engineering
- Building and supporting data ingestion and transformation pipelines
- Experience with Change Data Capture (CDC)
- Pipeline orchestration and scheduling
- Strong knowledge of AWS data services
- Python and PySpark development
- Infrastructure as Code using Terraform

Requirements
- Active SC Clearance is essential
- Experience working within large-scale enterprise or government environments

This is a fully remote contract offering the chance to work on a complex, large-scale cloud data platform within a well-established digital transformation programme.
