About The Role

The Data Engineer Programme at Newto Training is designed for individuals eager to launch a career in data analytics and data engineering. This self-funded career development initiative offers a comprehensive learning experience, combining live instructor-led online training, industry-recognized certifications, and real-world project work. The program aims to equip participants with essential skills in Excel, SQL, Python, Power BI, and cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure. Upon successful completion, participants are guaranteed a job offer with a starting salary of up to £40,000, supported by our dedicated career services team. This role is ideal for those with little or no prior experience who are motivated to learn, adapt, and thrive in the data industry.

Responsibilities

Participants in the Data Engineer Programme will undertake a range of responsibilities designed to develop their technical and professional skills. These include:

  • Completing practical projects that simulate real-world scenarios
  • Preparing for industry-recognized certifications such as Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst (PL-300), Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals (DP-900), and Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals (AI-901)
  • Developing proficiency in SQL, Python, and Excel
  • Participating in career coaching sessions, CV workshops, and interview preparation
  • Networking with industry professionals
  • Leveraging employer connections to explore job opportunities
