About The Role
The Data Engineer Programme at Newto Training is an intensive, self-funded career development initiative aimed at individuals with little or no prior experience in data. This programme is designed to equip participants with the essential skills, certifications, and practical experience needed to launch a successful career in data analysis and engineering. Upon successful completion, participants are guaranteed a job placement with a starting salary of up to £40,000, supported by our extensive employer network and recruitment partners. The role involves engaging with live instructor-led training, hands-on project work, and ongoing career support to ensure participants are well-prepared for the demands of the industry. This programme is ideal for those seeking a career change, recent graduates, or individuals leaving the Armed Forces who are passionate about technology, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications

Responsibilities
Participants in the Data Engineer Programme will undertake a comprehensive curriculum that includes live instructor-led training, practical project work, and certification preparation. Responsibilities include:
- Actively participating in over 100 hours of online training delivered by industry professionals
- Completing industry-recognised certifications such as Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst (PL-300), Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals (DP-900), and Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals (AI-901)
- Developing hands-on skills in tools like Excel, SQL, Python, and PowerBI
- Engaging with practical projects that simulate real-world data scenarios, demonstrating their ability to analyse, interpret, and visualise data effectively
- Receiving tailored CV support, interview coaching, and career guidance to assist in securing employment
- Maintaining a proactive attitude, completing assignments on time, and participating in all training sessions
