About The Role
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Data Cabling Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to develop their careers within the telecommunications industry or for experienced engineers eager to advance their professional journey with a market-leading organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing structured cabling installations, managing testing and troubleshooting, and installing various networking and audio-visual equipment across multiple projects throughout the UK & Ireland.
As part of this role, travel and working away from home are required, with accommodation provided by Future Group. The position demands a proactive approach, technical proficiency, and a commitment to safety and quality standards to ensure the successful delivery of projects and client satisfaction.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a full UK driving license and demonstrate excellent time management skills, with the ability to multitask and organize workloads effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for interpreting technical instructions and collaborating with team members and clients. A driven attitude, innovative thinking, and the ability to learn and apply new technologies are crucial for success in this role. Previous experience in structured cabling, fiber optics, audio-visual systems, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory for highly motivated individuals willing to learn.
Responsibilities
- Carry out structured cabling installations, including Cat6, Cat6a, Fibre Optic, and Audio Visual cabling across various industries.
- Manage all testing, termination, and certification of cabling systems to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve faults efficiently through effective troubleshooting techniques.
- Install and configure a variety of audio-visual and network equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment at all times.
- Coordinate with project managers and clients to meet project deadlines and specifications.
- Perform additional tasks within your skill set as required to support project delivery and team objectives.
