Job Title: Data Engineer

Location

Hybrid – West Midlands (1 day per week)

Salary

£53,000 - £60,000

Tech

Python, SQL, Fabric, Azure, Databricks

No visa sponsorship provided and must be based in the UK to be considered

The Company

Our client is a well-established UK organisation operating within a people-focused, regulated environment, with technology and data playing an increasingly important role in the future of the business.

They're continuing to invest in their data and analytics capabilities and are looking for a Data Engineer to join their growing team, helping to build and evolve a modern Azure data platform.

This is an opportunity to join a technically focused team where you'll have genuine influence over how data is collected, transformed, governed and delivered across the organisation.

The Role

This is a hands-on Data Engineering role with a strong focus on Azure, ETL/ELT pipelines, data modelling and automation.

You'll take ownership of the full data pipeline lifecycle, from gathering requirements and ingesting data through to transformation, production and delivery of reliable, governed datasets for analytics and reporting.

Working closely with Data Engineers, BI Developers and business stakeholders, you'll help design and build scalable data solutions while contributing to the ongoing development of the Azure data platform.

If you enjoy owning projects end-to-end and building reliable data infrastructure rather than simply maintaining existing pipelines, you'll fit in well here.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
