About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Senior Quantexa Data Engineer to join Noir’s talented team in Manchester on a hybrid work basis. In this role, you will be pivotal in designing, developing, and implementing advanced data pipelines and solutions based on Quantexa technology. Your expertise will support the company’s strategic initiatives by enabling robust data integration, processing, and analysis capabilities for high-profile clients. You will lead technical development efforts, configure Quantexa components, and ensure the successful delivery of data engineering projects. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on complex, enterprise-level projects that impact decision-making processes across various sectors, including finance, government, and telecommunications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with hands-on experience in Spark, Scala, Python, and Databricks, alongside a good understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization technologies.

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field. Extensive experience in data engineering, particularly with Quantexa solutions, is essential. Certifications in Quantexa or related data platforms will be highly advantageous. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in Spark, Scala, and Python, with experience working within Databricks environments. Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Docker, and Kubernetes is desirable, though training will be provided for those new to these technologies. Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset are also required to succeed in this role.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of the Senior Quantexa Data Engineer include:
- Designing and developing scalable data pipelines and solutions tailored to client needs.
- Configuring and optimizing Quantexa components to ensure high performance and reliability.
- Leading client engagement projects, providing technical expertise, and delivering innovative data engineering solutions.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and business analysts, to translate requirements into technical specifications.
- Supporting the deployment of solutions using DevOps practices, managing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring seamless integration within cloud environments such as Azure.
- Continuous improvement of data processes, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining documentation.
