About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Cybersecurity Analyst to join our dynamic team at Immersive Labs. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing security threats, developing mitigation strategies, and supporting the continuous improvement of our security posture. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat intelligence, and incident response. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify vulnerabilities, implement security measures, and ensure the integrity and confidentiality of our systems and data.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in cybersecurity, threat analysis, or incident response roles.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, tools, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with security information and event management (SIEM) systems, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and vulnerability assessment tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of explaining complex security issues to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze security alerts and logs to identify potential threats or vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct thorough investigations of security incidents and coordinate response efforts.
  • Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices to safeguard organizational assets.
  • Collaborate with IT and development teams to address security gaps and improve system defenses.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technology advancements.
  • Assist in conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses.
  • Provide training and awareness programs to staff on cybersecurity best practices.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation on security incidents, investigations, and remediation actions.
  • Support the development of incident response plans and participate in simulated security exercises.
